I used to work on Aircooled VWs when I was young - Owned almost every Types: Type I, II, III, and IV even some Rabbits and Scirocco (only thing -older VW- I didn't get was the Type I Thing and Type III Karman Ghia) I even had two Type III Notchbacks, 58 & 64 Karman Ghia, and Split window Buses, and few 411/412s.
I can remember I used to be able to drop an engine by myself in less than 30 Min. They were so easy to wrok on; only 4 bolts holding the motor from Tranny.
Also owned 7 Fiat 850 Spyders, two older Corvairs, (I loved rear or Mid engined cars) Plus few Hondas including the 1200 Cvcc and two S2000s.
In highs chool, we used to Hop up Mopeds to reach 60 mph! (in Florida)
Have studied and researched on Rotary and Turbine engines, (also two-stroke bikes), now doing research on EVs.
Diesel cars was sort of new to me, and was introduced to me in 2004.
